Normal (or characteristic) cycles play an essential role at the investigation of the geometry of non-smooth sets. They are useful for the definition of various curvatures and generalized mixed volumes, they appear at the theory of (constructible) sheaves on manifolds, and they are related to other characteristic cycles and classes of singular spaces.
In this workshop we will try to bring the different aspects together. Of course, talks about related themes like convex geometry, foundations of metric geometry, analysis on singular spaces, cohomology or applications are welcome.
